Rating this low before it even comes out is pretty stupid since we don't know how it's going to work. Does it banish both your creature and the opponents from play or are their stats and effects just copied? The most important thing is what is the cost of the abomination going to be? Is it the cost of the creature you were going to draw, half of the combined cost of both cards, the cost of the most expensive card in the fusion or just a flat unchanging cost (just think if the abomination is a 0 magicka card the tempo problem vanishes completely and most likely becomes a game winning advantage). Depending on how it works this card can be meme use only or the most broken card ever showing up in 90% of decks til it's eventually nerfed.

They actually clarified this; Both creatures are removed, you choose the text (and name) to keep, stats are combined, and it costs as much as the most expensive of the two.

So you don't get the combined text of both cards and only get to choose one set? That's kind of lame... So the actual effect is banish the top two creatures of each player's deck combine their stats, keep one card's text / race with the highest magicka cost becoming the abomination's. not bad but not op, fits in ramp and not much else.
I really like the idea behind this card (and the art too). But the idea is certainly better than how it has been made. 8 mana for a 4/4 body that does not have immediate effect on the board is just too much. It should cost 6. Laaneth costs 1 more, she is +2/+2 stronger and you decide what do you draw. This card is good for fun in Casual perhaps but I would not play it in Ranked.

You could play Mecinar to get a Laaneth on steroids in addition to banishing the next threat of your opponent. There are better cards than Mecinar but i will use him in certain decks where he fits. It is not a card for every deck in my opinion

I had a really funny situation recently. A pretty even game, i have been a little behind i think. I played Mecinar got a nice Abomination with his Sadras Agent. He did not kill Mecinar.

Next turn i decided to play A Night to Remember and got an abomination with his Shearpoint Dragon. Because I had another Night to Remember i played it again giving me another Abomination (no text but at least an 8/8 if i remember correctly). He did Concede at that moment
Had a great game with him today. Put him out and got a 5/8 falkreath defiler. They killed Mecinar and my defiler slayed one of their creatures to return Mecinar to my hand. Played him again and got a 13/13 iron gaint and title.
Nothing like a stitch between Giant Bat and Paarthurax haha
