This card is similar to Awakened Dreamer. In the earlygame, a 2 cost 2/3 is better than a 3 cost 3/3. In ideal mid- to lategame situation for Dreamer puts it 1 health ahead of Madman, but Madman becomes strictly better once transformed. If you play Madman and give him +2 power on the same turn, he gives himself +1/+1 then transforms immediately. Too slow for aggro, but a midrange deck like Dagoth could get some serious mileage out of this.

I assume that the transformation retains his stats at the time of transforming (because reaching 5 power only to demote down to a 2/2 would be hilariously awful). If this is indeed the case, any buffs used to push him to 5 power would no longer be removable with silence once the transformation is complete, which is a significant advantage over Dreamer. I will also be on the lookout for how Berserker interacts with the discard pile if this is the case; would it revert to a 2/2, or would it keep its stats?

It keeps the buffs on transformation but becomes 2/2 when silenced. Seems to be pretty risky card.
