This version focuses on steady damage output, as opposed to simply going straight at the opponent. To make sure it doesn’t run out of gas, it utilizes Elusive Schemer and Shimmerene Peddler to keep your hand full of cards. Elusive Schemer not only replaces itself when played, but it also can be fetched by a Goblin Skulk once it has died at least once. The zero cost version of the card becomes a potential target for the Pilfer trigger, and you can get some real value in the long game.
Another combination that exists in this version is the use of the zero cost Elusive Schemer along with any zero cost creatures gained from Smuggler’s Haul to provide additional triggers for Supreme Atromancer. This can provide some extra reach to close out a game at times.
This version of the deck is great for when you are playing against a large number of control decks on the ladder. The consistent amount of threats makes this deck better equipped to deal with the removal of control decks. If you are running into more aggressive decks, however, you may want to consider the more aggressive version of this deck. This build can be too slow against very fast decks, and it doesn’t have too many ways to stabilize if it gets behind early.
Below is a quick video about both versions, including some example games:
