I'm going to start this description off with a controversial statement for a deck with some weird card choices.

Knight of the hour is a bad card.

It's horrible against control. It's mediocre against midrange. It's only okay against aggro.

The purpose of knight is this: heal and protect against fast decks. Lets say you are forced to play it from hand. You play a knight of the hour and heal for 3 and get a 3/3 guard. Then your opponent trades their small guy into it and hits face with their other stuff and you take a lot of damage. Let's say...... 6.

How would this scenario be any different if instead of knight you hypothetically played Phalanx Exemplar? They would have to trade more stuff into it and you would take less damage from the face attacks which balances out the heal except exemplar kills more of their stuff.
So we can clearly see you don't want to be playing knight when you are still trying to take back board. Its purpose is get it as a prophecy or heal after you have already won back board.

So once you've won back board you want to play this sometime. You generally have to balance playing heals and removals at this point in the game so you don't lose to stuff in the shadow lane or lightning bolts. You want to play a Mantikora and then heal but Knight costs 5.
You can't Mantikora on the same turn.
You can't Dawn's Wrath on the same turn.
It's really clunky.

The 3/3 isn't enough of a safeguard to justify skipping Mantikora against more decks than not. What we need to do is figure out what to play that does do these things!

So I'm playing Healing Potion.
It's easy to sneak in when you have free mana because it only costs 2.
It still has prophecy.
It heals for more than a Lightning Bolt does.

To compliment that I'm playing 2 Shimmerene Peddlers that synergize well with it and Execute making Healing Potion a not completely dead card against slow decks because you can hold onto it to combo to draw a card. It's not like Knight's 3/3 body was doing much in those matchups anyway.

The reason why I am not playing Phalanx in this deck is because this deck is already pretty heavy on the late game and I am most interested in beating the popular warrior and other midrange decks. To do this I am playing a 3rd Cast Into Time to make sure I can Cast Sowers. Without being able to Cast Sowers as they come out I feel that control mage is at a disadvantage. I am also playing 3 Dawn's Wraths simply because removing all of their threats should theoretically win you the game and you can afford to stall the game out a little longer because Healing Potion actually is just more healing.

"I am most interested in beating the popular warrior and other midrange decks" Those decks make up 90% of my encounters on the ladder...

Yeah! That's the idea. I know control mage has a few autolose matchups but I don't think they are super popular right now. Currently my stats for those popular decks are:
battlemage 6-1
warrior 7-0

What about "Fire Storm " because of token meta?

You should be able to beat tokens without it. Just not necessary.
Missing 1x Wrath & 1x Undying Dragon.
Added Ancano, what do you suggest?

I had the same issue. I added college of winterhold, both to throw of opponents (make them think support) and because it's often good value imo. Another good value card for an empty slot is The Black Dragon.
Two other options are Memory wraith (for that one meanie playing scout) or Doppelganger (situationally this can be OP, and usually it can be decent value, it's rarely a dead card in your hand), if you're missing those legendaries as well.
Hey, I'd definitely recommend Ancano like you already added. College of winterhold is a solid card if you want to get a little more value. You can also try lydia or phalanx exemplar
I actually ran Ancano & Black Dragon...
Do you suggest rather College - over black dragon?
This deck crushes aggro, but sucks against other control

Yeah it isn't great against other control but control mage has always been not a good choice against control decks. If you are playing against a lot of control you should switch decks.

Control mage has always struggled bit against other control decks - trying to out value another control deck (especially anything with endurance) is really difficult. I find teching in Journey to Sovngarde is helpful, though imo it makes control mage a little less consistent at what it's best at (anti-aggro).
