Greetings Outlanders.

So I need to start by saying a couple things, caveats if you will. I am not great at this game. I have definitely improved, and I think the current amorphous meta has aided me to get this deck to legend. That said, I did get to legend, and pretty easily to be honest. I am even competitive in legend.

For a semi-casual player who is just starting to take this game seriously, I find this deck fun, easy to use and highly competitive.

I took some tips from other Tribunal Control decks, especially Blackfall. I realized that basing a deck on the exalt mechanic is not feasible, but I don’t think that means we should throw the baby out with the bathwater. I find cards like Ghostgate Defender and the Gods are all very useful, with Sotha Sil winning me quite a few games alone.

The large amount of creature removal seemed like a bit overkill when originally testing the deck, but as I became more comfortable with it, it just works. This deck isn’t fancy, the name of the game is crowd control, crowd control and more crowd control. Despite this deck being control, I find that the deck excels most when playing it a bit on the aggressive side, as though it were a midrange deck. The damage you can deal with cards like Phalanx Defender and even Tel Vos Magister is not insignificant, especially when you have some pocket Edicts, Bolts, Javelins and Casts to deal with the hell you unleash in the form of prophecies. Combine that with ice storms to deal with Seige of Stros M’kai and Dawn’s Wraths to deal with all the late game pain Dagoth brings, and this deck just works. Endgame powerhouses like the Gods and (in my opinion) the underrated Divayth Fyr have consistently won me many games. Miraak is Miraak.

There are some cards I am thinking of replacing. Wardcrafters, as great as they are, don’t really feel like they have an important place, so I may try to replace them with Indoril Masterminds, or more likely Elusive Schemers for more card draw. I will let you know how those replacements work out.

I hope this deck brings you many wins, or at least the inspiration to build something similar that fits your style.
