Thanks for the list, I climbed a couple ranks with this deck last night and beat justalazygamer with it on his stream today despite misplaying and missing lethal by 1 point mid-way thru the match (lol whoops!). Only losses not from my misplays were to a Pilfer/Move Monk that got away from me early, a Rally Redoran that curved out a bunch of boosted rally creatures that I couldn’t respond to in time, and an aggressive Dagoth that blew me up by turn 8 with burst damage.

I really enjoy how fun and easy it is to cycle into your shouts then shut down aggro or conscription decks with DV or pull off insane Necromancer hijinks via Soul Tear.

The only card change I made was swapping Ungolim the Listener for Brynjolf who I don’t have. I feel Ungolim has synergy with the 3x Scout’s Report, Indoril Mastermind, and Eclipse Baroness. You get the (nearly) free draw and lethal tokens from the added Brotherhood Assassins which are nice against control and decks with lots of big threats. Brynjolf’s drain might be nice to have though, I have to Soul Tear out boosted Giant Bats to heal/stabilize fairly often when I’d rather be saving ST for Necromancer insanity or a Tazkad finisher.

Glad to hear you found success with it! Ungolem could never be that bad of an addition. Other popular options are: Thorn Histmage since it’s quite powerful off the 3/3 Necromancer, Ulfric’s Uprising if you want an additional value engine (found this card a little too optimistic and greedy myself), and of course Fighter’s Guild Recruit as well.

I like A Night to Remember when you’re running Red Bramman. Generally triggering one of the big summon effects is enough at that point in the game and it’s more cost effective, and can shit down both lanes at once.

This deck seems beautiful, but I have only one necromancer, do you think that falkreath defiler can be a good sostitute?

Nah, it’s too hard to set up the slay. I would just replace it with the third Hallowed Deathpriest or a Fighter’s Guild Recruit until you have enough dust for the Necro.

Really like this list! Was stuck at the bottom of rank 2 and after shifting to this deck I got to rank 1 with just 1 loss.

I would ask what you shuffle with Galyn but I’m 99% sure that Necromancer… I actually have the dust for the deck (cuz I already have most cards, just got a Tazkad from an arena reward pack lol). Perhaps I give it a shot smile-3933825

Edit:
I honestly cannot understand how this and other Scout “control” decks can work out. Very easy to out tempo. A Mage deck can control the game usually with firebolt, lightning bolt, javelin etc. But how can this? The removals here are very unstable.
Viper: cannot do shit with ward, if there is a guard on the lane then you must hit that.
Pet: not instant removal, usually gets silenced or destroyed.
The other early creatures are far too weak to match up (3 mana 2/1, 2 mana 1/2 etc).

Each control deck has a style. Control scout is all about setting up the cards you need.

See also  Deck List

You have the flexibility to resurrect dead creatures you need, create more copies of a key creature, and thin out your deck to eliminate the cards that won’t help you in this matchup. All of that plus a few value trades with early DVs means you are very likely to stabilize, and a stable control deck always has the advantage.

i love this deck. i’m at rank two with it! before this i could never get out of rank 4. so much synergy with galyn, odirniran, and soul tears… i always try to make copies of bramman/paarthurnax and bring them out one after the other.
