Animals, to include Spriggans, are some of the most efficient cards in the game, and as such make great tools in a midrange deck. Many of these cards are used individually in other decks, but this deck uses them all together instead.
For example: Voracious Spriggan is a 1 cost 2-1 with drain. Most drain cards in the game have inferior stats to make up for the keyword. Moonlight Werebat is the only drain + prophecy card in the game. Eldergleam Matron puts a card in your hand on top of having good aggressive stats. Wild Beastcaller puts two bodies in play. There are many other good animals that I didn’t use that can be randomly found by the last two creatures, all of which can be buffed by Shadowgreen Elder.
Sanctuary Pet and Territorial Viper are a little slow for the deck, but are here to slow down faster decks and to bypass the great cards of slower decks, in addition to having animal synergy.
Reflective Automaton is an animal/Spriggan, ok?
Second plan of the deck is just finishing the game with burst damage from healing with Ring of Namira in play. This is a very powerful tool when racing another aggressive deck, and is a good finisher against slower decks as they stabilize and block your further attempts at dealing damage.

What do you think, change Conjurer’s Spirit instead of Mournhold Guardian?
Conjurer’s Spirit is probably good in this deck, but I wouldn’t swap it in for Mournhold Traitor. That card is too effective as a 2 cost 4-4 for applying early pressure and dominating the board. Additionally the deck has a very high number of 3 cost cards as is, I wouldn’t want to lose a 2 drop for another 3.
So if you wanted to add Conjurer’s Spirit, I would probably swap it in for either Sanctuary Pet or Territorial Viper. These cards are in theory powerful removal, and can be buffed by Shadowgreen Elder, but in a vacuum they have poor stats for their cost, and don’t help you apply pressure, which is the mainstay of the deck. Since the point of the deck is to set up a strong attack and then never stop, relying on many sources of healing to outrace another aggressive deck, in theory removal may not be necessary. That being said, the deck doesn’t have a good way to deal with big guards, which is what those two cards deal with. And then lastly, while relying on healing against aggressive decks is nice, it’s also nice to just shackle a big target with Sanctuary Pet and then just go face.
I think the other possibility to swap out for Conjurer’s Spirit is Voracious Spriggan. I explained why I included him in the deck explanation, but ultimately as a 1 drop he’s not going to have much effect most of the time– he’s only particularly strong in your starting hand and after you can play Shadowgreen Elder on the same turn. The rest of the time he’s not a threat at all. So then perhaps on average Conjurer’s Spirit is more likely to be useful, given the myriad of sources of healing in the deck. It’s worth noting I’m less worried about losing a 1 cost card than a 2 cost card in general.
Either way you’re welcome to swap out whatever you want, just let me know how it feels afterwards!
