For a more recent version of this deck, try this:

I've been playing aggro to mid sorcerer for months now and having a blast. I've experimented with just about every card and then some. In my opinion, this is the best aggro sorcerer list to play right now. It can stand a chance against everything, even Giants Battlemage, Aggro Warrior, and maximum bullshit Telvanni.

Crown Quartermaster allows your deck to make best use of Magicka by using the item for floating 1 magicka and to occasionally start off with the advantage of having a decent turn 1 play. It is occasionally disappointing if you draw it toward the end of the game, but even there it can occasionally win you the game by adding 1 damage.

Barrow Stalker is a staple. It heals and defends, and helps with your Royal Sage a lot.

Dragontail Savior is another staple. Sometimes is dropped but I don't know why. Very often a 4/3 for 2 mid game.

Shrieking Harpy is a staple. Sometimes a game saving prophecy.

Sorcerer's Negation is a staple. A life saver. Save for Goblin Skulk, Drain creatures, guards if you have to.

Wardcrafter is a staple. Good for trades and making creatures survive Ice Storm.

Wind Keep Spellsword is a staple. Survives ice storm, resilient.

Dark Guardian is surprisingly still very good even in aggro against other aggressive decks, protects your other creatures, and can absorb the buff from Haunting Spirit after an ice storm.

Haunting Spirit is a staple. Acts as ice storm insurance. If you just have at least 1 4 health creature on board, it will absorb the buff. Beware of them trading in creatures to get everything to 3 health or less, though.

Stalking Shadowscale usually only sees play in slay decks which are bad. I use it in place of Daggerfall Mage. Daggerfall Mage is good in Mid Sorcerer, bad in aggro. You almost never use the tome unless you're already losing, and Daggerfall Mage is only good for damage if it absorbs a buff from Haunting Spirit. This card, however, is already a 3/4 so survives ice storm and firebolt, and can really mess with your opponent if they have a weak guard in front of it. Surprisingly good.

Young Mammoth is a staple. Just an all around very good card. Breakthrough is so nice vs. weak guards.

Lightning Bolt is a staple. Devastating prophecy and game saver. Good for removal in shadow sometimes when absolutely needed, otherwise save for reach.

Royal Sage sometimes does not see play but random keywords are often very good in this deck. You want ward and rally vs. control, and almost any keyword is good vs. aggro, especially drain.

Shadowfen Priest is a card I always run three of because it's only slightly understatted and silence is VERY good against almost every deck in the game.

High King Emeric is good at swinging games or even ending them, especially if your opponent ignores your wards. Shadow lane creature killer sometimes. Hard to remove.

Wrath of Sithis fills the tricky 6 cost spot. I find that vs. all other cards potentially fitting the 6 or 7 spot, 3x Wrath of Sithis is the way to go. It is almost ALWAYS a good on curve play, especially if you have gone face a lot and maybe given your opponent too many cards. Wrath of Sithis is a good threat and its summon effect makes sure that your opponent will have a hard time responding to your board.

Ancano is one of the best cards in the game. A great finisher, removal, and can make your Lightning Bolts have breakthrough if you're finishing off a guard in front of creatures and want to maximize damage.

Is barrow stalker a must have card in this deck? I have all in the list except for him
1 Reply, but it is a really, really good card. Probably the most appropriate replacement is Ald Velothi Assassin.
Looks cool. Could you recommend replacements for Young Mammoth and Bleakcoast Troll? Thanks!

Oof. That is really hard. They are core pieces of the deck. You may just want to try a different deck. Sorry! Just being honest. It won't work too well without those cards.
No DFM?? I'm surprised!

You only ever end up playing the Tomes when you're you're losing and the Tomes don't really help. It's better to just play something with better stats IMO.

Daggerfall Mage would be an include if this deck was a little less aggressive.

Made this deck, played 21 matches so far, won 11. I'm rank 2.

I like it very much against control decks. Like you say, it's a perfect deck to counter ice storm. Very hard to do anything against this deck if yours is slow.

So far, however, I find it pretty bad against other aggro decks. Most of them simply outdamage me and because this one lacks prophecies (other than the 6 you have, which isn't that much) it's very hard to win against other aggro decks. I just got my ass handed to me by a propecy battlemage. Of the 11 games I won, 10 were against control and 1 was against mid range.

So far I'm 0/10 against other aggro decks.

Since this is a rather straightforward deck I'm pretty sure I'm not doing much wrong. Any tips would be welcome though.

That's odd, I find aggro matchups very easy. I just make sure to do a lot more trades and tire them out, and then start going face more consistently when they are in a losing position.

Take field lane - that should be no trouble with creatures in this deck. They will go shadow. Using lightning bolts on their shadow creatures feels bad but it's a necessary play sometimes. Silencing something in shadow is also good to trade in something, especially if that something is a Haunting Spirit.

Prophecy Battlemage is hard for this deck, but just don't hit their face unless you are certain you can handle a prophecy. I usually only hit face against a prophecy deck if I have more cards and at least 7 or 8 damage on board if not more.

This happens to be exactly what I do ... I always play the field lane. Maybe I'm just having bad luck with my matchups, but to be very honest with you I'm rather disappointed in this deck :(

I'm currently 28 and 6 with it. Perhaps this deck just doesn't fit your playstyle. I played against someone using my deck and they played it very different than I would and I won. They should have won but they lost because of a misplay. It isn't always the deck. ;)
Also, when I said take field I didn't mean that you shouldn't put anything shadow. Save your bolts if you can but make good trades in shadow too when it seems like you have a good opportunity. Maybe if we face each other sometime I can show you how I play unless you're sure the deck isn't your thing. Tell me your in game name and add me and we'll play sometime.

I will add you and we can play sometime when I'm not at work. Have fun on ladder.

Been playing some more. It's going better now. One major problem I often run in though is that my hand is empty, since the deck has nearly no card draws :/

Edit : I'm on a 7/0 win streak. I take back what I said ;)

Well, I couldn't add you until just now. Add me and we'll see where you go wrong when you're NOT on a win streak lol.
Suggestion for High King E replacement? I know he's a special card not easily replaced, but don't have him. What would you run in his place if you had to?

I suppose either an Indomitable Ordinator, Nahagliiv, or Tel Vos Magister would be good. Probably Tel Vos.
It's INSANE, best agrro deck ive ever played. Now from rank 8 to 5 in 2hours.

Glad it's working for you. Occasional meta shifts will cause you to run up against some decks that can out aggro you so watch out for that.

Hey, nice deck!

I am missing one Shadowfen priest. Which would be a good replacement? Galyn? Corrupted Shade? Lucien?

Thanks! If you're missing one Shadowfen, I think you could probably do well with a one of Corrupted Shade. Lucien fits nice with this deck as you will often be forced to trade with guards. It's up to you. I think I would pick Lucien personally.
