Now that we are living in a post Isle of Madness world, it's only natural that I post yet another Mid Sorcerer list for people to try. This particular list has many of the "core" cards that you come to expect from Mid Sorcerer. The style of play for the deck has also not changed much either. You still fight for control of the field lane, and use your efficient and resilient creatures to make good trades while applying pressure to your opponent. Cards like Daggerfall Mage, Young Mammoth, Wardcrafter, and Bleakcoast Troll are still your friend. But, there are some new additions to the list that I think are very fun to play with.

There are three new card additions that really shine in the list, and those are Doomfang Ally, Gnarl Rootbender, and Manic Jack. Manic Jack really shines in this list because there are several ways to add keywords beyond the Manic Mutation that comes with him. Wardcrafter and Lesser Ward can both give him a very good keyword while also boosting his size. Royal Sage can also help our friend Jack out as well. This can lead to Manic Jack just getting JACKED out of his mind.

Gnarl Rootbender is also a great target for both Lesser Ward and Manic Mutation, as both will allow you to draw a card while helping out. The spriggan will also generate a card if the enemy decides to take it out with a bolt or a javelin, so it can really help keep things going against some control decks.

Doomfang Ally is a nice addition to the list, as it is most often a 3/3 with Ward when played. This is good enough in all honesty. It creates a resilient threat that trades very well with most other creatures of a similar cost. When you are trying to fight for control of the field lane, this really helps. Even if it ends up as a 3/5, that is still a good sized body to help contest the board. Including Doomfang Ally is also a great excuse for me to bring back Worm King's Agent to the deck, as it increases the chances of the ally becoming a 3/5 with Ward.

Now, for some closing thoughts on the list. This list is fun. It is effective. It is perfectly capable of carrying a player to legend rank. That said, this is probably not the best version of Sorcerer right now. If I'm being honest, a far more aggressive version using catapults and couriers is likely better. But, this list is very fun to play and that's half the battle.

Check out the video below for an explanation of the list, as well as some games played if you want to see the deck in action.

I haven't crafted the Worm King's Agent yet so I substituted with the double card Tavyar the Knight and Rayvat the Mage and a Shornhelm Champion that can make use of the wards too. :D

This combo has gotten me more wins that's I'd like to imagine for a mulligan card. Great substitute! My second is the other black/blue combo.. Shornhold Breaker or something like that? The 3/3 with ward. I'll come back and correct myself later

Fun looking deck! I also look for any excuse to play worm king's agent. I'll give it a shot and hopefully have better feedback!

Easy card draw
@Zokorar, look tough to activate with only 8 craetures having 5+ attack
Really nice fun deck. I very rarely stick at 50 cards and I have added five cards which work very well for me. I have added, Tavyar the Knight/Rayvat the Mage who I find works really well in this deck for obvious reasons. I have also added them Mundus Stone which adds keywords which is good. And also Soul Tear, which has brought back the right cards at the right time like Royal Sage just when I needed it. I have had a lot of fun with this.. thanks for sharing 👍

how does this play against bone colossus combo decks?

I'm a f2p casual player and I miss 16 cards of this deck, so I replaced them with other cards and I played 21 games until now. 19W - 2L . Really nice.
Skinned Hound and Squish the Wimpy fit right in here. I dropped the fork, one ally, worm king agents, and a couple other replaceable cards to fit them in. Skinned hound for the extra keyword on Jack or on DFM to block aggro. Squish the wimpy with DFM or Jack to break ward or on Gnarl Rootbender for card draw.

Pretty decent deck. Made couple of changes but still have most of this deck going strong

Added Daedric Dagger and Yew Shield. Lack of heavy attack and guards in the deck. Plus two extra cards to add keywords to Jack. Working well.
