This is a deck I was trying on ranked with some success for a while. It is far from perfect but it is fun and interesting.

Turns out 5 power is easy to activate with this deck, and the new Isle of Madness cards give it a lot of draw and unexpected power.

Crown Quartermaster - provides dagger to buff creatures to 4 or 5 power to get 5 power activations

Sixth House Amulet - Use on 4 power creature to gain ward. There are lots of these. Use on Manic Jack at 4 power to get a 6/6 with ward. The +1/+1 *is* relevant, otherwise I would run only Lesser Ward.

Lesser Ward - Use on Manic Jack to gain +1/+1, or on Gnarl Rootbender to draw a card. Or just get a ward when you absolutely need it.

Manic Jack - Great ward target, if no other body needs it. Enough said.

Manic Mutation - Free random keyword, draws you a card when used on Gnarl Rootbender.

Gnarl Rootbender - covered elsewhere, but I will also mention that it has 5 power and draws you a card if Jav'd, Cast'd, Edict'd, or just generally dick'd over by a targeting action.

Ash Oppressor - insanely underused card. Almost always able to activate it somehow. Very good even if you don't need to shackle anything, and even better when you really, really do need to win a race.

Vigilant Ancestor - shuts down other aggro decks. 5 power activator.

Dres Renegade - passive effect is good. Also unshackles your Ancestors.

Mighty Conjuring - concede button generator. Sometimes gets answered, but always at a cost. Very easy to activate with this deck.
For consideration

Shadow Shift - alternative to warding to protect creatures. Probably not needed with so many wards and beefy threats. Can use on Gnarl Rootbender to draw two cards, but might be too greedy.

Suran Pawnbroker - free card to dump with Gambler besides the dagger Crown Quartermaster gives. Can sometimes dump an action to use on Gnarl for free card draw, but this happens much less than you might hope.

Felldew/Elytra Noble - you can dump one with Gambler and keep the other for utility. Or keep both, they are good. Felldew counts as a keyword for Manic Jack and an action for Gnarl Rootbender.

Assassin's Ritual - I was surprised when I cut these. It seems perfect but I always had another use for 3 magicka.

Daggerfall Mage - It was just too slow for this deck, but still good.

Seyda Neen Courier - It's probably good in this deck, especially if you include Daggerfall, but I don't like using the card.

Fun deck! Played it on stream to a 11-5 record with two of those losses being influenced heavily by rng. I made a few cuts so I could fit in seyda neens and a wilds incarnate. In all 16 games I never once played a rootbender. Saw it plenty but struggled to find a good time to slam it. Still hunting for something that will replace it. Good work Narthalion!

Yeah this deck definitely isn't perfect, and it's a shame I also find it very rare that I draw and play rootbender and get value off it. I have actually abandoned this deck because the whole point was to get rootbender value and actually win. Oh well.
