Here's how it works:
Most decks try to run you down aggrowise and this deck has the spot removal and life gain to stop them all.

And before you freak out: The 2 Grummite Magi are aimed at the boring Tribunal control decks or the occasional Telvanni Conscription.

Early game you hold on to Blades Lookout and make sure you haven't spend all your dragons to trigger it when you need to outdraw your opponent (the same goes for Ulfric).
The trick is to wait until turn 4 or 5 and play multiple creatures each turn spread across both lanes which even overwhelms control decks. If you are on the clock against prophecy battlemage or something similar, you of course contest the board from the start.

With loads of enablers for Leaflurker and easy removal like Archer's Gambit+lethal and Shearpoint Dragon+Drain Vitality, mid range decks don't stand a chance.

Against aggro, it is wisest to wait popping your Woodland Lookout until you can proc it in the same turn. Make sure your opponent's spot removals or silences are spent beforehand.

It looks like a mid range deck but is actually semi-control, as you commit to the board only when you are confident you can keep a constant flow of creatures with in-built removal or draw while at the same time forcing your opponent to spend resources (e.g. Leaflurker, Shearpoint Dragon, Eclipse Baronesse etc.).

If you face more control than aggro, consider swapping a Fighter's Guild Recruit out for Odahviing or your greedy card of choice.

There's lots of weird stuff out there in this patch, and this deck has an answer to most of it.
