This one I worked on together with Dust and it's pretty close to perfect now, though he insists on including Queen Barenziah and I feel it's better off with Swims-At-Night. It's a matter of preference.

The idea behind the deck is to get creatures down as quickly as possible and start hitting face, while saving up on actions until you find a Lilandril Hexmage. Assassin has always struggled getting past guards, but this weakness is bypassed by this deck by providing the last burst with actions. A single hexmage can sometimes get up to 16 damaged in in one turn with some 0-cost actions, so there's surprise lethal burst.

There's also plenty of healing with the black hand messengers and blood sacrament.

I would like to give it a try, but I'm missing:
2x Mournhold traitor
2x Black hand
2x Murckwater scourge
1x College of winterhold
1x Spoils of war

Any tips for replacements of these?

Have already had to replace Swims-At-Night with Queen Barenziah.

hi Sinnerstar,

Barenziah for Swims is fine. College of Winterhold is probably really the least essential card in the deck, can be replaced with pretty much anything that fits.

The Traitors are very important in the deck for early face damage, and they're very strong because there's a lot of easy ways to remove the 2/1 guards. There's no 2-cost creature that could easily replace them, so to keep the curve intact you could go with third ice spikes, firebolts and harpies.

The same goes for Black Hand Messenger, I'd recommend crafting these because they're a monthly reward you won't find in packs and it's played in pretty much every green/blue deck right now. In this deck, they're almost essential because they deal with most 2 drops, they're a double heal in close games, and they deal damage to face to potentially finish a game. If you really must replace them, you could go with a third Murkwater Guide, Brotherhood Slayer, Astrid, Cornerclub Gambler, Camlorn Hero, maybe even either of the Allies.

To replace the Scourge, you could go with Murkwater Shaman, or any of the cheaper cards mentioned above.

Spoils of War --> Shadowmarking.

Hi there!

Thanks a lot for replying. I really appreciate you taking the time to do so.

As a strictly freemium player I miss a lot of cards. I have never even been able to get past r7 until last week, after trying a cheap deck provided by JonesAF. It got me up to r5, but unfortunately, its luck ran out and I have been on 50/50 win since. It's not taking me any futher.

I have taken your recommendations and came to the following adjustments:

2x Mournhold traitor -> 1 extra ice spike and 1 extra harpy
2x Black hand -> 1 Cornerclub Gambler and 1 Camlorn Hero
2x Murckwater scourge -> 2 Murkwater Shaman
1x College of winterhold -> Orb of Vaermina
1x Spoils of war -> 1 Shadowmarking

Fingers crossed and hope it works. Will most likely test somewhere tomorrow.

Thanks again and keep up the good work!

Feel like the market version has more potential, anything to say about that?

Swindler's Market is very strong righ now, both in assassin and archer. I don't really enjoy playing those decks though. This looks like a solid list:

Dude, I was stuck in r5 and have moved to r4 with this deck! My highest ranking ever. Awesome! :)

Will be aiming for r1 next month, fingers crossed. Thanks again!
