A deck based on High Elves and their mechanics.

Most of the creatures are High Elves, I run Thalmor Embassy 2x.
The point is to secure control of the board against aggro decks, while snowballing and outmaneouvering control and defensive decks, until you can barrage enemies down with your abilities and creatures.
Use removers and creatures to have good trades, usually you either can't or don't want to attack face until turn 6, just set up the board.
As there are plenty of ways to drain health, you don't have to worry about losing a few rune.

Despite that the deck looks a bit slow, it's possible to reduce the cost of the most expensive cards by Vanus' Scribe, Ayrenn and Thalmor Embassy.

Explanation on some cards:
-Shadow Shift instead of Firebolt. Becuase it refills your hand and can help save/destroy a creature at late game more effectively.
- Shining Saint and Cloudrest Illusionist help to use Execute and Luminous Shards on stronger enemies too.
- Leafwater Blessing is a great cannon fodder for action-based effects, we can draw it back frequently.
- Mage's Trick is a bit expensive, but if you find a way to reduce it's cost it's just awesome.
- *edit*: I switched 2xReveal the Unseen to 2x Piercing Twilight to have more defense, and the ability to banish some of the most annoying cards of the enemy is great.
- Monk's Strike can be a gamechanger, it can heal you back, or execute enemies. Great combo with Lillandril Hexmage.
- I was trying both Morag Tong Nightblade and Royal Sage, for the sake of being Altmer I would stick with the latter now.
- Gnarl Rootbender, while not an Altmer, is a great source of card draw.
- Guildsworn Oathman is also awesome. A 4/6 body which easily gives us a Forked Bolt is great.
- Spoils of War may look expensive at first glance, with this deck I rarely play it for more than 2 mana.
- Skywatch Vindicator is similar to Clockwork Apostle, but cheaper and more versatile.
