The goal is to shackle the enemy and beat them to death with the Dres Tormentor. It can take awhile to get the tormentor, but the shackles hold the enemy in place well enough until then.

Update:
I removed the green cards with shackle that were part of the original deck, with the exception of Giant Snake. Also removed blacksap protector guards. Replaced them with Pilfer and Drain cards. You can lose a lot of health quickly with this deck, but it scales quickly and brings creature-based damage to a near absolute halt by turn 4 or 5 at the latest. Then use the drain cards to bring back some health. Opponents will also tend to focus on destroying the pilfer cards, and they aren't essential to the deck so they're a successful distraction. However, if left unchecked, they can bring you a win quickly.

The Hidden Trails card does add something nice to the deck. The biggest issue I've had is cards that can charge. Since shackles are a key component of this deck, having two shadow lanes has not been an issue, and the extra +1 strength on all creatures is very handy.

Good combos for this deck:
Doppelganger and any of the following: Sails Through Storms, Dres Tormentor, Icewing Dragon, Laaneth

Easy switches to make:
Cyriel - not essential, I would switch with a second Giant Snake or Hidden Trails if I had the soul gems for it.
Fighters Guild Recruit - guards aren't really essential to this deck. I have it for the lethal, but if I never draw the card, I also don't really notice.
