So to me the this and hlaalu are the top two Aggro decks right now. Not sure what you’re opinion is, but what do you think is stronger?

Do you try to do meaningful trades to control the field or go straight for face as much as possible?

you do whatever you have to do to have as many things survive on any given turn, so when you ally, fervor or captain, its great value, which does mean taking favorable trade so that 1/1 can live..
the only exception is turn 5 as if you can sense an icestorm or cradle crush or debilitate coming, then you do as much as you can that your bigger guys are not below 2-3 hp, or just go full face and not take trades at all......
I dont play this version but thats how spellsword works, ...build a board, buff and 2 turn...
This is a very solid deck. Imo Apprentice Necro and Mercenary Captain were the 2 missing puzzle pieces for Spellsword aggro to become top tier again.

Do you remember when spellsword aggro was last top tier? The earthbone remembers.
Not a chance. This deck loses to fucking everything at rank 4. Everything.
Ugh, I hate going against this deck. Great deck, just infuriating to get a full lane dropped on you turn 2-3. I am seeing so much of it in the meta, I have to change my decks to counter it.

I think my old Crusader Token lost to this deck. Looks like a really good deck, thanks for sharing.

I'll give it a whirl since I never run Spellsword and to show off my shiny necromancers :)

I keep getting bricked, starting out with a divine fervor and two Catapolts, any tips?

I removed Penitus Oculatus Agent & one Divine Fervor

Then I added one Galyn the Shelterer & two Shadowfen Priest. The Shadowfen Priest is just something I'm experimenting with atm but before those two I was trying Orb of Vaermina. That helped me a few times when I was facing a few control decks that were trying to starve me by removing everything I had.

The Galyn the Shelterer is quite fun to add to Fifth Legion Trainer, that's if the game actually last past turn 8. Got ppl to just roll over and die more times than finish it :O

Now, I'm not sure at what rank you play, but I'm currently at rank 5. Even without making the changes to the deck I would win at least 3/4 matches, and that was even though I got really bad cards to start with.

When you manage to start with Rebel Warden and a Marked Man it's time to grab a drink and just enjoy the ride :P
