Green aggro can start playing viper for that one attack. Lethal seems to be the ideal if it becomes a staple.

I think Gatekeeper is a good card, making it a guard reduces the ability a little. Pulled his ability with the Cheesemancer and completely shut down both lanes of my opponent. But it also affects your cards, so got to think about how you want to play around it.
Thadon looks nice too as a good 6 drop on willpower. Some card draw with the lane is great too and synergizes well with high vitality decks. Cloak and dagger seems lame though its like a 2 cost scimitar.

Boosting attack and defense on separate creatures is the only way I the items can be relevant (maybe discard half to gambler).

The lane change seems nice but I much prefer the idea of extra card at the end of turn. That would encourage more directly playing into it as well as providing both players more chance of triggering.

With a Skilled Blacksmith on the board they are both free to play and can be used on seperate creatures unlike the scimitar.

Also I suppose with a Master Swordsmith on the board they both get the +1/+1 buff?
is tesl is sponsored with marvel? with cloak and dagger :p

The guard will likely find a home in any cntroling purple deck. I see the others as more fringe playable.

They actually both account as one treasure when pulled. They are more versatile than just scimitar i have to admit. Just because they have better item synergy though due to their number and 2 in 1 behaviour. They do get the double master swordsmith buff i think.
For aggro i think scimitar is still better.
