JANUARY 2019: MONTHLY REWARD: RENEGADE MAGISTER

By: Ashmore 2 months ago
Renegade Magister is january 2019's monthly reward.
As always, you will have to reach rank 9 (Mage) in Versus Battle by the end of this month to get one copy, rank 5 (Warrior) to earn a second copy and rank 1 (Thief) to get the full set.

Renegade Magister
Magicka: 5
Attack: 5
Health: 5
After a friendly action damages an enemy creature, Renegade Magister deals that much damage to that creature.

Lesser Ward + Improvised Weapon + The Red Year... Will get the same effect as Ancano.

That depends on whether Renegade Magister will damage something that's already dead. Unless Magister's damage comes before a dead creature is actually destroyed, you're going to be out of luck.

well maybe you not read the description carefully, it said damage not destroy. But what about reduce the creature health.. is it the same as damage?

It says damage not health reduction.. Damage can't pass through wards, health reduction can.

Exactly. Unless you have an opponent with a board full of X/11 or greater, or a board full of warded creatures, that will never work.

I guess it won't work no more VS warded creatures because you will deal 0 damage, just remove the ward. 0 + 0 = 0 :)

It's exactly the same behaviour when you drain warded creatures, you gain no health.

True. I hadn't thought about that.
