Hi, I'm a 3x Legend player who specializes in making interesting or fun decks that are also competitive.

I tried to make a traditional combo Warrior that fits into the current meta. I spent many hours refining the decklist and now believe I have something resembling the strongest control list possible while still providing the player a chance to survive against aggro.

Zero prophecies you say? This deck runs zero prophecies in order to have the strongest possible lategame by using the highest value cards. If you are looking for a strong prophecy control list check out my other Combo Warrior deck here.

This deck should allow you to beat most lategame control decks with little contest simply because of the insane out of hand Rage combos you can perform once you have enough mana. It is not uncommon in a long drawn out game to have 16+ Max Magicka, which puts you in range for Vigilant Giant + Unstoppable Rage or Blood Magic Lord + Unstoppable Rage, and even the hardest control decks will not be able to survive these kinds of turns.

Cicero the Betrayer + Rage will not only clear one entire side of the board of powerful creatures but will also fill your hand again as well. Even using it with Crossbow is a guaranteed 2 card draw + removal, and more if they can't kill it instantly the next turn.

Play very conservatively, don't break runes if you don't have to. You should have plenty of card draw to survive until the lategame. You have 7 lethal creatures to combo with Crossbow or Unstoppable Rage. Against Aggro decks keep a Deadly Dragur in your hand for a lane clear with Unstoppable Rage or a threat removal with Crossbow. Against Control keep an Archein Venomtongue in your hand for the same reason.

Try to bait your opponent's removal with your less important bodies (you have plenty of them), and then play the real threats after. Gortwog and Belligerent Giant are good cannon fodder before you play Night Shadow and Vigilant Giant is a good decoy before you play Blood Magic Lord or Odahviing.

The toughest part of playing this deck is to know when to keep your combo pieces in your hand and when to put them on the board. Playing too greedy can simply end the game for you (remember ZERO PROPHECIES), but using your combo pieces individually before you have the whole set can screw you in the long run. It's difficult to find a balance between the two, which makes this one of the toughest possible decks to use. Some may enjoy the challenge though, and if you master it nobody is going to defeat you in the lategame.

Edit: Removed 1 Dragur, added Mundus Stone. Mundus Stone adds a 10th 4th drop into the deck and swings control matchups even more into your favor.

If you can get them, it's a fantastic deck. It'll give you something to work towards!
