EDIT20: Dropped 1 Debilitate for another Amulet.

First deck submission on legends decks so let me know if you guys need any clarifications.

So I have been using this deck for the past two months to get to legend (100-200) with decent success. It definitely can push into top 100 if you have the time to grind.

This is your typical Conscription deck with Altar of Despair for added value when you get unlucky with drawing your Conscription (or you get board cleared).

This list is mainly Anti-Aggro since this deck does well against Aggro and still fares decent against Control. Some possible meta adjustments are Razum-Dar for Anti-Control (replace Xivkyn), Mummify for Anti-Control (replace Channeled Storm) and Memory Wraith (not sure what to replace) for Anti-Graveyard.

The deck struggles a bit against Mid-range (you need ramp and Conscription to win) and gets countered by Rage decks (you can play smart against Non-Ramp rage decks by silencing/removing breakthrough before flooding the board but you will lose to Ramp Rage decks since they combo directly from hand).

Try it out and let me know what you think!!

EDIT17: Back to the climb!! Not too much greed at rank 3 so I dropped 1 Altar, 1 Amulet and 2 Piercing for 2 Shadowshift and 2 Icy Shambles.

EDIT18: Meta has slowed down so I dropped 1 copy of Debilitate, 2 copies of Shadow Shift (love the card but it can clog our hand), 1 Catspaw, 2 Icy Shambles and I have added 2 copies of Sadras, 2 copies of Fresh Start, 1 copy of Tree Minder, 1 copy of Martin Septim (works very nicely as a finisher if your opponent cannot deal with him).

EDIT19: Meta has shifted back to Aggro/Mid because of Invade so I had to drop the greed. Dropped 2 copies of Fresh Start for a copy of Catspaw and Debilitate each.

Hey person. How are you doing ?? I haven't seen you in ladder in a while.

Yea I dropped channeled storm for Messengers since I am seeing less of Mid-range and more of Greed in the ladder atm. I wish I could run CS and Mummify to be honest .

Good thank you. I haven't really been interested in ladder in a very long time. Ever since the first month with the new card back rewards, I stopped caring about the ladder. I sort of felt like "I could push ladder like I have in the past, but it will largely be a wast of time as I won't be able to play an interesting deck and will likely find losses to not be that interesting."

I participated in the gauntlet last weekend and was lucky to get second place. Difference being that I found the format fun and skill testing and as a consequence I wanted to do well.

I'm going to at least play this deck until I get the legendary rank that offers the premium monthly card. Will drop back by if I find room for storms or other cards.

Nice. What deck did you use in the pauper event?

Let me know how the testing with this deck goes, I am also interested in testing Flesh Atronach + Mentor's ring as an alternate win-condition to Journey.

Nice to hear that it is working well for you. Please remember that I update the deck to adapt to the meta at my ranking (legend 100+) so don't make the changes if it is working well for you.

I basically update the deck depending on if I am facing more Control decks or Aggro/Mid decks.

I dont normally bother trying for Legend anymore. I just make sure i remain in 4 each month. Previously i used strong aggro decks to hit Legend but i enjoy playing Telvanni more, but lack the skill to pilot one to Legend. I still not knowledgable enough to know what cards to change in response to the meta.

Fair enough. The current list does very well against Aggro (Assassin, Tokens, etc) but you usually need to draw a board clear (Icestorm / Debilitate) for a clean victory.

Necro Amulet + Altar (provided you have the tempo to play them) can also demolish any chance of Aggro winning against you.

Against greedy decks (especially those that run 5-6 copies of support removal), this current list can struggle so if you face more of them then I recommend replacing Sadras Agent with Merchant's Camel.
Ah, so you're the one who gave my opponent the idea for this decklist yesterday that infuriated me to no end as it was able to stop me from making the 1 attack I needed from any of 3-5 creatures across 6 turns before Conscripting and completely turning the game around.

I equal parts hate you and admire you for this decklist.

Lol my apologies. Yea this deck has a ton of tools to slow down decks without reach (like Token Spellsword).

The deck struggles against big body decks so you can counter it with stuff like Mid Dagoth or Guildsworn though the match-up is winnable if this deck draws Ramp cards and Concsription.

Great thanks for the info.

Hi, I love the deck, synergy is lovely, Why did you replace oathman?
Can I replace the wardcrafter, for more greed I guess
I want to stay above rank 5.

Thank you for the kind words!! I replaced Oathman because the Tutoring effect was hard to activate since Blue drops in the early part of the curve are a bit lower and summoning the Oathman from Altar can be much worse than getting out Shadowfen (for silence/support removal) or Histmage for ramp.

If there was a 2-drop I was tempted to replace, it would be Wardcrafter for sure. It depends on your meta honestly. Wardcrafter really gets value when you drop a ward on a Viper or Drain creature (hail to the Queen!) forcing your opponent to break the ward (decks like Burn Assassin has no silence/removal for wards).

Try removing 2 of her for a Camel (best greed card honestly) and Galyn (random but strong greed card again). The issue with having 3 copies of greed cards (like Camel, Altar, etc) is that you can brick your hand if you are unlucky drawing multiple copies of them.
