I went from rank 5 to 3 with an aggro/mid-Dagoth but really hit a wall afterwards. I switched it up to other variants of aggro (easiest way to reach legend): sorcerer, crusader, and other archetypes. I got so frustrated I even started to play a Unite deck.

Anyway, I was going through some of the decks I hadn't used in a while and came across this. It was actually labeled "RIP skulk and ash" referring to the nerf. After those two cards were nerfed, I took them out of this Hlaalu deck and replaced them. The only card from IoM is Duchess and she's great in this deck.

Strategy: typical aggro. You'll want to be faster and stronger than your opponent. Mulligan any 3, 4 drops unless you have the ring. The obvious dream start is fifth legion trainer, marked man, pit lion or ringing out mournhold traitor. You'll almost always want to go face but don't blindly smorc--look at the board and card advantage. What's the worst case scenario prophecy? Do I want to give my opponent another card?

I go wide early on to be able to drop pit lion or preserve a red/green card for oathman activation. You've got the card draw package, burst, silence, POA to steal some keywords.

Crazed hunger is maybe the only polarizing card. It's a 2 of but he's usually good for trading or burst to finish the game. Since you usually have a board presence--and his power is 0 on your turn--he's not usually removed because other creatures are more threatening. Ashkan is a staple for me: by turn 6-7 you're usually low on resources and he can refill your hand. Love that guy.

Anyway, enjoy the deck and good luck climbing!
