This encounter has a series of quirks that you must keep in mind as you prepare for the fight. If you can stay on top of these quirks, this encounter will be a breeze. If you can't handle them, however, you will likely die quickly.

First, both players start with a support card in play that is very relevant to the fight. The support grants +5/+5 to all creatures a player controls if they have 40 or more health. As you can imagine, the opponent is playing a large number of cards focused on health gain. The good news is that this support card can be destroyed, and as such we run Vicious Dreugh to do the job.

Second, this game board features a "Temple" lane that grants players one health every time they summon a creature there. The opponent will also try to abuse this by playing cards that spawn multiple creatures, as well as by playing Bruma Profiteer to really ramp up the health gain.

Finally, the opponent starts the game with a Chanter of Akatosh in play. You will want to kill this quickly. Execute does a great job of this, and you will want to try and have one in your opening hand. Not killing him likely means disaster, typically in the form of a Healing Potion fetching a Bruma Profiteer from the deck. That play alone will put the opponent at 37 health, with the ability to gain two health for creatures played in the Temple lane and one health for creatures played in the Shadow lane. In short, it sets up your opponent getting +5+/5 as early as turn three.

If you can kill the Chanter of Akatosh early and destroy the support card, the rest of the game is pretty straight forward. Fight for control of the board, and play cards that gain you health until you hit 40 health yourself. Use the buff from your own support to kill your opponent.
